"They say the typical symptoms of stress are eating too much chocolate, drinking too much coffee, spending too much time shopping, and sleeping too many hours a day. Are they kidding? Sounds like a perfect day to me."

The End . . . or The Beginning?

Well, the day has come. The day after graduation. Yes, I am now a college graduate. May the world tremble in fear because I have been unleashed upon it. It still doesn't feel quite real. Maybe because I still have more school in my future. But for now I'm home in Houston for a few weeks, with a trip to Tennessee stuck in the middle of that, and then I'll be moving up to Dallas to pursue, yes, a Master's degree. How could I say no to more education? Anyway, I have 2 carloads of junk to unpack now. Thanks to everyone who came to my graduation - you made it so much more fun that it would have been otherwise. There will be pictures later, hopefully.

Everything I need to know about love I learned from my social psychology book . . .

love - "a combination of emotions, cognitions, and behaviors that often play a role in intimate relationships"

Now there's a nice, succinct definition of one of life's greatest mysteries.

At Last

I'm a godmother!

Here it is. The telling of my Spring Break tale. It's like those boring slide presentations people used to give of their family vacations.

100_1369 This is my favorite part. It's called "leaving." Here's me getting into my car.100_1371 And here's me with Shawnee in my rearview mirror. And yes, that is main street. Sad little place.

100_1372 This part is called "traffic." Crawling along 35S. Always fun.

100_1373 This part is called "Starbucks = Happy" No trip is complete without at least one stop. And I know exactly where every Starbucks on my route is.

100_1379 I spent the first part of my Spring Break being entertained by Veronica Mars - Season 1. 100_1380 and Samantha, of course. Here we are at Panera.

100_1383 Here's Houston. Samantha and I drove around for a long time. Unfortunately, we never found the place we were looking for . . .

100_1388 Here I am at Galveston. Marci and I went on Tuesday morning. It was virtually deserted except for these cute little boys. 100_1390

100_1400 This part is called "cooking." Ashley and I experimented with making lasagna. I think it was a success and hopefully we didn't poison any of her co-workers.

100_1401 This part is called "apartment hunting." I went to Plano with my dad to interview at SMU and scope out places to live. It was a long day. 100_1402 Here's a view of Plano - or more accurately what could be seen of it from my hotel room window.

100_1404 And here I'm back in Oklahoma. Concluding my last undergraduate Spring Break.
